Kermit Bowling

Bowling, Kermit, 84, passed away March 19. Kermit was born in Clinton, Tenn. He was a graduate of Norris High School in 1948 and a Korean War veteran. Upon returning home from war, Kermit earned his bachelor’s degree from Lincoln Memorial University on a basketball scholarship and a master’s and doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee. He had a career of more than 44 years in education. He is survived by his wife, Fern Bowling. Kermit spent the last 10 years volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Stillwater.
