Dorothy Carpenter

 Dorothy Carpenter, 98, was born to Jesse Otis and Merle (Hurst) Warlick on January 21, 1922, and passed away on June 13, 2020, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Following her graduation from Cushing (OK) High School, she attended Oklahoma A&M College from 1938-1940 after which she returned to Cushing where she worked in an insurance agency.  She and Sam Carpenter were married on November 9, 1941.  Dorothy and Sam were the parents of three thildren, two daughters, Janet and Jeanne, and a son, Lynn.  Dorothy was especially active in her church.  Sam and Dorothy enjoyed traveling and frequently took annual ski trips.  Following Sam's passing, she moved to Oklahoma City where she lived in a retirement facility.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband, two brothers, a grandson, and a niece.  Dorothy is survived by her three children:  Lynn (Melissa), Janet (Bob Turley), and Jeanne (Don Croka) as well as by ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law Bonnie Warlick and Maxine Carpenter Barnes.  In addition, a number of nieces and nephews survive her.
